In trip planning, users are often faced with a wide range of destination options across diverse categories, making it challenging to identify suitable choices. Although content-based filtering and collaborative filtering have been widely adopted, these approaches remain limited in capturing contextual and dynamic user preferences. This study proposes a hybrid tourism recommendation system that integrates content-based, collaborative, and context-aware filtering by incorporating user’s demographic profiles and travel types. The system is evaluated using Normalized Discounted Cumulative Gain (NDCG) to assess ranking quality and System Usability Scale (SUS) to evaluate usability. The results demonstrate that the proposed model outperforms the baseline in ranking performance, achieving an NDCG score of 0.9126, and attains a SUS score of 88, indicating an excellent level of usability.
